Family and Values

My families are very complicated. My mother’s side of the family has different values, beliefs and customs than my father’s side of the family. My mom is Mexican and my dad is African American. Their religions and ethnicity have a lot to do with their values. My dad’s side is more lenient and my mom’s side is more strict.
My mom’s family is not that religious but they still go to church and follow the Catholic beliefs. There are only a few members in my family that are deeply religious, for instance my grandmother is very religious. My grandmother has shrine of the Virgin Mary, a crucifix a huge picture of Jesus and many candles with pictures of saints on each of them. Like most Mexicans my family is very strict. They don’t let their children have relationships for a long time. Although they are strict they give you a lot of freedom and don’t put you down as a child.
My dad’s side of the family is hardly religious at all except for my grandfather. He volunteers at his church and preaches sometimes at his church. All of my family’s values can be seen in my grandfather. He is the most loving and giving man in the world.
What he does demonstrates what the Fowler name represents. My dad’s family leaves nobody behind and will lend a helping hand to anybody no matter how ugly you are, and you know who you are, ugly.
Both of my families are more different then similar but they both have something in common that all families across the world have in common and that is values. Every family fight, every family argues and every family hate each other at times but they all will love each other till death.
